Jim-Bob has been with KILT since 1967, when he joined the staff as Chief Engineer. He was constantly in the studio talking in the background, and finally the management decided to make him a part of the show (although he already thought he was.) Although Jim-Bob has been at KILT for over 30 years, he still claims to be "under 40." We can only assume he means his neck size.
Jim-Bob is a member of the Aggie Class of "Never Graduated" - the other member is Rowdy Yates. He's only been out of the country one time in his life - and he hasn't been welcome in Lake Charles since.
Jim-Bob lives in Katy in his high-rise (pictured above) with his longtime girlfriend Betty-Lou-Thelma-Liz, and grew up in Mailbox, Texas, a very small town outside of Lufkin. |
