A Tropical Storm WATCH is issued when tropical storm conditions are possible within 36 hours.

A Tropical Storm WARNING is issued when tropical storm conditions are expected within 24 hours or less.

A Hurricane WATCH is issued when hurricane conditions are possible within 36 hours.

A Hurricane WARNING is issued when hurricane conditions are expected within 24 hours or less.
